Problem: The old Sunsail website was clunky and didn’t have the content or IA that potential customers needed to research their sailing holiday.
Solution: I was the key content owner for the build of this new website. My role included working with the UX designers to define the content hierarchy, defining the content model with the development team, recruiting and managing a content team, building content pages, training colleagues how to use the CMS and feeding into a post-live roadmap of iterations.
Outcome: The hero of the new website is content, this includes copy, images and video of the boats, destinations and fantastic staff. The platform is now being rolled out to other brands and is deemed a big success in both user testing and sales performance.
